The evolution-3.2.3 ebuild prints a message in pkg_postinst() that explains how to set the default browser by editing your ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list file. Alternatively, if you like guis, you can use the gnome control center (upper right corner menu → system info → default applications → web). Another alternative, one that should work in any desktop environment, is to run "xdg-mime default firefox.desktop x-scheme-handler/http x-scheme-handler/https" from the terminal. In any case, bugzilla is for reporting bugs or asking for improvements - not for questions about how to use or configure a program that is working correctly ;) (In reply to comment #1) > Alternatively, if you like guis, you can use the gnome control center (upper > right corner menu → system info → default applications → web). Sorry, missed a step: upper right corner menu → system settings → system info → default applications → web. Hello Alexandre, thank you for your answer, but the hint with the system settings menu did not worked. Under "upper right corner menu → system settings → system info → default applications → web" I find firefox. But if I click on a html-link in evolution now links-2.6 is started as webbrowser. In ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list I find only: [Default Applications] x-content/video-dvd=totem.desktop x-content/audio-cdda=userapp-asunder-HH5MWV.desktop [Added Associations] x-content/video-dvd=totem.desktop; x-content/audio-cdda=userapp-asunder-HH5MWV.desktop; After running "xdg-mime default firefox.desktop x-scheme-handler/http x-scheme-handler/https" ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list changed to: [Default Applications] x-content/video-dvd=totem.desktop x-content/audio-cdda=userapp-asunder-HH5MWV.desktop x-scheme-handler/http=firefox.desktop x-scheme-handler/https=firefox.desktop [Added Associations] x-content/video-dvd=totem.desktop; x-content/audio-cdda=userapp-asunder-HH5MWV.desktop; And now firefox is also started as default webbrowser. Thanks one more. But btw. is it not a bug, if system settings → system info → default applications → web shows firefox as default webbrowser, but links is started? |
