Confirming. Webkit-gtk in has a very unusual build system; in particular, instead of relying on intltool, it uses a custom Source/WebKit/gtk/po/GNUmakefile.am which does not respect LINGUAS. A patch is needed to fix this. Um, this is taking it a bit too far. If you made it your project to go through the entire tree to look for packages that do not honour LINGUAS, you're going about it the wrong way. Stop filing these bugs now or only file them for packages you show a clear personal interest for. (In reply to comment #2) > Um, this is taking it a bit too far. Jeroen, with all due respect, it's the package maintainers who decide what is "wontfix" and what should be fixed at some point. And IMHO this should be fixed. This has been fixed in the gnome overlay in the webkit-gtk-1.7.90 ebuilds, and the patch submitted upstream at https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79605. The fix will arrive in the main portage tree once webkit-gtk-1.8 and gnome-3.4 are released. Fixed by webkit-gtk-1.8.x which has been in portage for a while. |
