This is included in the MySQL overlay. You can get the overlay using layman. Note that 5.3.3 is an rc version and is masked even in the overlay. Thanks for the input. I've been using stuff from the overlay and it's been working out nicely! 5.3.5 was just released as GA, so I'm guessing it's suitable for gentoo-x86? No rush at all, just a friendly notice. InOverlay. Needs some test poking. Ok, sorry for waking up this old bug. I know the mysql overlay contains ebuilds for MariaDB. I'm interested in version 5.3.x, which is currently masked. What can I do to help testing and get this out of mask? (In reply to comment #4) > Ok, sorry for waking up this old bug. I know the mysql overlay contains > ebuilds for MariaDB. If it is a purely "local" interest, you can still just unmask it :) (In reply to comment #5) > Is there a reason you cannot use the "non-masked" 5.5.x ? If it is a purely > "local" interest, you can still just unmask it :) I'd like to stick to 5.3 at the moment, which is based on MySQL 5.1.x. |
