I'm guessing you are still on 3.2.x series, then bug 351963 would be back, 19 Jan 2011; Sébastien Fabbro <bicatali@gentoo.org> octave-3.2.4-r3.ebuild, +files/octave-3.2.4-fltk-1.3.patch: Added a patch for compatibility with fltk-1.3, thanks to Yury Fedorchenko bug #351963 Then it's later removed by: *octave-3.6.0 (19 Jan 2012) 19 Jan 2012; Sébastien Fabbro <bicatali@gentoo.org> -files/octave-3.2.4-addpath.patch, -files/octave-3.2.4-dlmread-speedup.patch, -files/octave-3.2.4-filter-empty-vector.patch, -files/octave-3.2.4-fltk-1.3.patch 3.2.x series also fails to build with GCC 4.6 and I don't have any development boxes left with older GCC versions so I can't actually test reapplying the dropped patch @sci-mathematics: all yours Let's proceed with stabilizing something more recent. Arches please do you magic. There's one test that fails for me, but it doesn't seem crucial. If you want to test it more thoroughly please see [1]. TIA! [1] http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/doc/interpreter/Simple-Examples.html#Simple-Examples scanelf shows sys-libs/readline that missing among RDEPEND in the ebuild, please check and add it if necessary. for everything else amd64 is ok arches, go ahead with 3.4.3-r1 amd64 looks ok amd64: Ok amd64 stable Stable for HPPA. x86 stable ppc done ppc64 done alpha/sparc keywords dropped |
