Description Franz Trischberger 2012-02-04 19:37:41 UTC
I don't want to use amarok for audiocds (simply does not work as it should). So I wanted to disable cdda-feature. Built amarok with -cdda. But audiocds are still put into my collection (and amarok spins the disc quite some time on startup and blocks cd-playback with other mediaplayers).

Is there an automagic dependency detection? Or is it intended to work this way?

Reproducible: Always

Looking at the ebuild, it seems that the cdda flag only affects whether libkcddb, libkcompactdisc, and kdemultimedia-kioslaves are pulled in as dependencies.

Amarok's buildsystem doesn't support building without audiocd collection, see http://quickgit.kde.org/index.php?p=amarok.git&a=blob&f=src%2Fcore-impl%2Fcollections%2FCMakeLists.txt

You are welcome to provide a patch for it on http://reviewboard.kde.org/
