Confirming; failure occurs only when the vala USE flag is enabled. Could you report this to upstream please? -> bugzilla.gnome.org Fixed, thanks for reporting. Vapigen from vala-0.14.2 apparently has trouble parsing cogl-1.8.2's introspection data; worked around the issue by using the pre-generated vala bindings for cogl-pango-1.0 that are included in vala-0.15.1. >*vala-0.14.2-r1 (04 Feb 2012) > > 04 Feb 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> > +vala-0.14.2-r1.ebuild, +files/vala-0.14.2-cogl-pango-1.0.patch: > Add cogl-pango vala bindings from 0.15.x, required for vala support in > libchamplain-0.12.x (bug #402013). > 04 Feb 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> > libchamplain-0.12.1.ebuild, > +files/libchamplain-0.12.1-vala-cogl-pango-1.0.patch: > Fix building vala bindings (bug #402013, thanks to Billy DeVincentis for > reporting).
