how about marking 5.1 stable ?
Comment 2 Max Kalika (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-02-25 16:51:31 UTC
what version is this for? I have net-snmp 5.09-r3 installed on 7 servers with no problems.

martin: I'd like to hold off on 5.1. I've heard of problems translating some traps and some API is different. I'll keep folks posted as I find out stuff.

Is this bug going to be fixed?
I too think that a script to start/stop snmptrapd is needed.
For now, I'll just copy init.d/snmpd and modify to suit.
