When it his version 1.0, this program was moved from a python-base to a java-base, and renamed to j7z... https://code.google.com/p/k7z/wiki/ChangeLog I don't think anyone in the Qt team wants to maintain a java application that no longer uses Qt. Maybe this package should be put up for grabs or treecleaned? (In reply to comment #2) > I don't think anyone in the Qt team wants to maintain a java application that > no longer uses Qt. Maybe this package should be put up for grabs or > treecleaned? +1 @java are you interested in to take over? (In reply to comment #4) > @java are you interested in to take over? It's built on top of netbeans and as such not really light weight. The public repository only contains the wiki pages and having had a short glimpse at the code I noticed comments like "Maybe make it work". Finally, I can't see it offer anything beyond for instance Xarchiver. +1 from me for tree cleaning. Fair enough. Re-assigned to maintainer-needed@gentoo.org Anyone interested in this package should contact proxy-maint@gentoo.org (In reply to comment #5) > (In reply to comment #4) > > @java are you interested in to take over? > > It's built on top of netbeans and as such not really light weight. CCing treecleaners to see if all of us are ok to treeclean this per this reasons dropped |
