Pidgin has some deps too many and lacks others.

libIDN and especially orbit and gconf should be removed from the dependencies. gst-plugins-meta[v4l] is mandatory for video with farsight.

I'm currently trying to straighten this out, more info to follow.

gst-plugins-x264 should also be a dep for XMPP! Only then it works with, say, GTalk.

The gstreamer dependencies are, by the way, a pain in the back.

attach a diff to the current ebuild on top of your explanations, so devs can easily check on your proposal
