Was following the x86 install guide and just after chrooting in I ran env-update. It outputted the following... [] bash: line 1: dev/null: No such file or directory >>> Regernating /etc/ld.so.cache... Not sure if it completed correctly or not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Booted using the LiveCD of same version, setup ext3 /boot and jfs root 2. Untar'd the stage1 listed above from OSU and chroot'd into the environment 3. Ran env-update as install guide said to do next Actual Results: Got above error with a possibly ok environment... Expected Results: No error. emerge sync seemed to work ok afterwards...but I did see the same "[] bash: line 1: dev/null: No such file or directory" error at the top (before it downloaded all the files).
