dev-tex/tth can be used commercially since version 3.77. Current license in Gentoo ebuild is free-noncomm. 

Can you please change the license in the newest ebuild accordingly (note that tth-3.66 should still remain free-noncomm). It may be necessary to create a new license in portage/licenses/ and add it to GPL-COMPATIBLE license group.

It wouldn't make much sense to add this license to portage now. tth 4.01+ is now available under the GPL. However, it would be nice to get that version into the tree.

Please note that this is still not a free software license, because it doesn't grant the right to modify the software or to distribute modified versions. Therefore it also isn't GPL compatible.

If there are no objections, I'm going to change the license of tth-3.77 to "freedist".

I believe 4.08 can be distributed under GPL. From changes file:

Version 4.01 Release of Full Public Version of Lex Source
