50org-mode-gentoo-7.8.03.el has an extra character 'n' at the beginning of the file.
It causes
  load-with-code-conversion; Symbol's value as variable is void: n
on startup of Emacs.

Somehow this spurious char has crept in between testing and committing.

Fixed in CVS, thank you for reporting.
