Please stabilize >app-editors/gummi-0.5.8-r1, latest version is in portage since 02 Dec 2011, and no bugs reported. I'm using -0.6.1 since it's in portage, no issues here.

Upstream here. No serious issues were reported for the two versions in ~arch. I'd recommend removing 0.5.8 from the tree and stabilizing the current 0.6.* ebuilds. I've used both on ~amd64 without any problems. Thank you.
