According to jack developers, jack does not at all depend on the following packages:

dev-python/pyid3lib-0.5.1-r1
dev-python/pyvorbis-1.4-r3
dev-python/cddb-py-1.4
dev-python/id3-py-1.2
media-sound/cdparanoia-3.10.2-r3

I think at least an [extra] USE flag would be in order to control these deps.

media-sound/jack is not jackaudio, I was mistaken about that.
