akonadi log of the problem
The main error message is: Akonadi::SpecialCollectionsRequestJobPrivate::resourceScanResult: Failed to request resource "akonadi_maildir_resource_0" : "Unknown error. (Failed to fetch the resource collection.)" Report upstream and link here back. Oh i see that you have already a upstream bug report, which says INVALID... Please have a look at the KDEPIM Upgrade Guide: http://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?title=KDEPIM-4.7_upgrade . (In reply to comment #4) > Oh i see that you have already a upstream bug report, which says INVALID... > > Please have a look at the KDEPIM Upgrade Guide: > http://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?title=KDEPIM-4.7_upgrade . What info can I contribute to debug this better? I don't have any files that I want to keep, I just want to initialize akonadi+kmail+1 imap account from scratch. As you see from the log I try to delete directories that may be tainted. In the upgrade guide you can find all relevant folders. Thanks Johannes. I deleted all the files/folders mentioned in the KDEPIM Upgrade Guide, but am still having the exact same issue.
