Bug 395397 – kde-base/systemsettings-4.10.0: kdm settings->Theme "Get new theme" button doesn't work

I start systemsettings as regular user. I've got a button to download new kdm theme (not "Install new theme"). Pressing it, I get "Get new stuff" window. I'm tring to install and "Install" button changes to "Uninstall". But I don't get installed theme in kdm themes list. And when I try to Uninstall it using "Get new stuff" window I get a lot of messages like:

systemsettings(26427)/knewstuff (api) KNS3::Installation::uninstall: unable to delete file  "/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes///Oxygen_Ethais_List/login_normal.png" . file does not exist. 
systemsettings(26427)/knewstuff (api) KNS3::Installation::uninstall: unable to delete file  "/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes///Oxygen_Ethais_List/login_normal-active.png" . file does not exist

So theme isn't installed. Seems that we need asking for root password before installing new theme just like when pressing "Install new theme" button.

Yes. I have this problem in kde-4.8.1.

Reported upstream, tracking since 2 years. Was never a stabilization blocker. So it makes no sense to track this forever.
