Closing this bug. cairo-dock-plugins-extra is meant to be installed through the web, not through a distro package. Any package installed manually and not through a distribution package manager will not be customized to the distribution and will "escape" the package manager control. Thus on Gentoo packages should be installed through ebuilds. I'm not adding more packages to desktop-effects, however. Cool, thanks for your note. I don't know if cairo-dock-plugins-extra can be even installed through a distro... The plugins are added to cairo-dock, which expects a drag-and-drop procedure to install it into cairo-dock. Plus, that way the plugin is installed on the specific dock that the user chooses, which is a choice that a distro package manager can't make. More info: http://glx-dock.org/mc_applets.php |
