I'm also having problems with hot plug causing a panic, we do however share a driver, aic7xxxx. Other then that our systems aren't very close to being the same. I'm running an Athlon 64 3200+ on the ECS 755-a, emu10k1, GeForce 3, and Adaptec U160 (29160) SCSI controller, usb mouse is the only plugged in USB device. Hot plug appears to choke on the aic7xxx driver. This seems kinda odd since the driver is already loaded. Im not sure if this could be part of the same problem or different issues altogether, but both of us having problems with hotplug and using the aic7xxx drivers raised the redflag. I'd love to post the output but I'm not about to write all that down and then type it back out, so if theres a better way please let me know. Closing due to no response Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this. |
