The current stable version of clockywock fails to run on modern glibc since it detects a buffer overrun in sprintf and throws.  After coming up with a patch and ebuild to apply it, I discovered that due to my ignorance I wasted time since signals beat me to the punch :)  The mentioned version runs fine and probably should supersede the non-working one which is currently stable
