attach a full build.log please. (In reply to comment #1) > attach a full build.log please. sorry, but I don't understand. My report contains the contents of /var/tmp/portage/dev-libs/nss-3.12.11-r1/temp/build.log What else should I attach? make[1]: *** [Linux2.6_x86_i486-pc-linux-gnu-gcc_glibc_PTH_OPT.OBJ/pathsub.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... suggest you are hitting a parallel bug, test with MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge dev-libs/nss. > suggest you are hitting a parallel bug, test with MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge

Thanks. This led me to the cause of this error. I had MAKE set to "make -j3". Apparently the ebuild is aware of parallel problems but it couldn't handle my screwed up MAKE. So I guess this is just my fault. Thanks for helping with this and as I see it this can be closed now.
