new sword ebuild
a new sword ebuild that the new bibletime ebuild depend on
- marked unstable
- clucene, icu USE keyword
Those keywords currently does not exist but is needed to allow the user to
optionally include those features. I haven't got time to write the clucene
ebuild though. Only the following is tested:
# env USE="icu" emerge sword
Note the clucene thing is necessary. This new version uses it but the config
script is INCORRECT. It thinks that you have it even if you don't and then
fails when compiling.
Note that currently the new install module feature (the only major new feature in 1.4) crashes the program AND screw up you .sword so that you'll get no modules on your next start up. I really don't know why and currently don't have the time or interest to figure that out... If somebody else could fix that, it'd be nice. A bugfix for bibletime, Bibeltime 1.4.1, is now available Created attachment 24705 [details]

clucene-0.8.9.ebuild
I have started to write a ebuild for clucene. It has two problems.
First, it is a error during bootstrap ("automake-1.5: configure.ac:
`AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE' must be used")
Secund, if I ignore the error, it does not compile. It gives the message:
"make[3]: *** No rule to make target `am_libclucene_la_OBJECTS', needed by
`libclucene.la'. Stop."
The package recomends libtool-1.5a (CVS), but since this package was created
before libtool-1.5.2 were released, I think 1.5.2 should work. However, I could
not find it in portage. I don't know if this is related to my problems, but I
still mentions it.
I dont have more time now, but if anone wants to finish it, here it is
The latest clucene doesn't cooperate with sword 1.5.7. Please modify the sword 1.5.7 ebuild to build with --without-clucene. I would recommend not adding clucene to portage yet, but require sword to build --without-clucene until a more stable version. These ebuilds need to be added to portage soon: app-text/bibletime-1.4.1 app-text/sword-1.5.7 sword 1.5.7 is committed new bibletime ebuild in ~x86 (and ~ppc, as requested) portage. Clucene will be added possibly in the next sword release, but no promises. |
