I think there are some little typos in the section 10.b of the Handbok:
At first it's written "... three possible cron daemons: dcron, fcron and vixie-cron", but right next "fcron" becomes "frcon". 
In the small note (the one with the green background!) appears the daemon "vcron", and, as I am a new to gentoo, I wondered if it was a fourth cron daemon or an error for "fcron"

That's indeed a typo. I've fixed it in CVS. Thanks for reporting!
