emerge --info kwrite attached (~amd64 with the kde overlay, of course), complete build log to be attached, here's emerge -pv kwrite:

[ebuild     U #] kde-base/kwrite-4.7.80 [4.7.3] USE="handbook (-aqua) -debug (-kdeenablefinal)" 0 kB [0=>1]

Comment 2 Duncan 2011-11-29 03:50:47 UTC
As might be expected given the error, USE=-handbook works.

Indeed it is. I missed that in my search because that bug doesn't use the standardized kde-base/kwrite, only kwrite.

Marking as the dup it is, thanks.

(BTW, if you had written "bug 392197", both "bug" and the number, bugzilla would I believe have linked it automatically. I know it used to work anyway, tho gentoo's bugzilla was upgraded recently so I'm not sure. I guess we'll see.)
