I'm sorry, I don't follow. The current dhcp startup script has --exec /usr/sbin/dhcpd. It also has -pf to generate the .pid file which works fine. What is the problem? Please attach any relavant information. For starters, your emerge --info output. Also, the exact version of dhcp that is causing problems, and the script in question. Thanks.
