Nearly same here. Also get these 'Permission denied' errors but this does not prevent the ebuild script to continue compiling in my case. The compile stops with the following error: gzip: /var/tmp/portage/pdflib-5.0.2/image/usr/share/doc/pdflib-5.0.2/pdflib: No such file or directory install: Aufruf von stat f Nearly same here. "emerge sync; emerge pdflib" and all is well - thanks! -HJE not quite, with "java" in USE, there is some broken behaviour, so I'll mark this fix when I manage to sort that out I had the same problem, syncing solved it.
