After sync portage tree gcc version 3 and 4 get new use flag "cxx". gcc4 was recompiled successfully with new flag, but gcc3 failed while compiling. I tried to get rid of "-pipe" in /etc/make.conf, but I got the same error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge --sync
2. emerge -avuDN world
Actual Results:  
Failed to emerge sys-devel/gcc-3.4.6-r2.

Expected Results:  
Succesfully recompile of gcc3.

1) Please generate a full build log for sys-devel/gcc-3.4.6-r2 using LC_ALL=C.
2) Then attach that to this bug report.

I reemerged gcc and put full build log.

Why would you put a single file in a tar archive? Just compressing it would surely do.
