To support the special GNOME "network:///" url in gvfs-based applications like Nautilus, you need to build gvfs with USE=gnome. Ah thanks, it works now. I thought I had tested this.. If the current version does not need 'gnome' flag to enable the network:/// uri it is ok, but otherwise I would say this should be documented, it is not really obvious to me that network depends on 'gnome' use flag. Good idea! I have changed the documentation for the gnome USE flag in gnome-base/gvfs to say "Enable support for reading settings from <pkg>gnome-base/gconf</pkg> and for the special network:/// URL" |
