Description Stuart Hickinbottom 2011-11-06 17:12:11 UTC
Please may I request the addition of an ebuild for Image::Scale from CPAN?

This is required to allow me to update my ebuild for squeezeboxserver-7.6.1 (see bug#377825).

Please may I request two versions:
- version 0.06 (to support squeezeboxserver-7.6.1)
- version 0.08 (to support squeezeboxserver-7.7.0)

The latter is to support an ebuild I will be adding shortly so it would save me asking for another bump.

Note that a patch to Image::Scale may be necessary to support libpng-1.5 - see the attachment to https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377825. I've not personally tested whether it's needed, though.

Thanks.

Adding bug#390503 as blocked by this bug. Logitech Media Server (the new name for Squeezebox Server) is also waiting for this bug to be resolved.
Comment 2 Marco Schinkel 2011-12-05 10:07:21 UTC
Maybe we can file an upstream bug report for the libpng issue.

The libpng patch was needed. Here are the requested ebuilds, added to funtoo-overlay. Gentoo can grab these:

Any news here? Seems to me like everything is set to get this one fixed...?

In the tree now. Thanks

Note that we may be moving to a logitechmediaserver-bin without all the weird dep ebuilds, in which case it could be OK to remove this ebuild in the relatively near future if nothing else is using it.
