I can't reproduce that. Please report this to Opera, Inc. I am also affected by this, and would prefer to keep this opened to remember to handle this before stabling gtk+-2.24.7 in the (near) future Where should I report this? (I only use opera from time to time and not know much about its development) Should I try with "opera-next" before reporting? I have tried to report it to: https://bugs.opera.com/wizarddesktop/ But I always get: Bug Report Wizard An error occurred while processing your bug report Please try again later. You can click the reload button to try resubmitting your bug. :( *** Bug 388115 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As I've just, I happen to have a system here that exhibits the problem. I have filed an upstream bug report [reference shown on the whiteboard] and sent the crash logs /var/log/crash* to same. The system exhibiting the problem has x11-libs/gtk+-2* set up like this: [ebuild R ~] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.6 USE="cups introspection test (-aqua) -debug -doc -examples -vim-syntax -xinerama" 0 kB [ebuild U ~] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.7 [2.24.6] USE="cups introspection test (-aqua) -debug -doc -examples -vim-syntax -xinerama" 0 kB And here is a completely different system that does not have this problem: [ebuild UD~] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.6 [2.24.7] USE="introspection (-aqua) -cups -debug -doc -examples -test -vim-syntax -xinerama" 0 kB [ebuild R ~] x11-libs/gtk+-2.24.7 USE="introspection (-aqua) -cups -debug -doc -examples -test -vim-syntax -xinerama" 0 kB Workaround through Opera itself is in the [URL]. Of course that doesn't help when it crashes at startup so you'd have to edit the file mentioned there instead of using opera:config. This is fixed with gtk+-2.24.8-r1 |
