that is for version gnome-system-tools-2.32.0 Hi Derk, what should we do that gnome-system-tools is not broken after the installation of polkit-gnome-0.104? I masked >=polkit-gnome-0.104. Do you know a better solution? the fix has to be put into the gnome-system-tools ebuild by the gnome-herd developers .. but your temporary masking of polkit-gnome-0.104 effectively does the same thing until the fix is done. I just quickly modified (a kludge) a copy of the existing ebuild which I added to my personal overlay. more work but does not involve a mask. I should also note this only occurs if the policykit USE flag is set. A question for the developers .. is this tool going to disappear in gnome3? I notice that redhat . debian and ubuntu package polkit-gtk separately for polkit-gnome under various similar names .. A split ebuild based on the polkit-gnome-0.101 or 0.102 -source code for polkit-gtk-0.101 or 0.102 would work .. this should allow co-install of >=polkit-gnome-0.104 and polkit-gtk-* on the same machine. I'll answer my own question .. yes there is a gnome-system-tools in gnome3 .. I can not determine if it still uses polkit-gtk-1 bug 387663 contains build.log and co *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 387663 *** |
