Yeah, for some reason it is trying to fetch/install PasteDeploy. It does not do this for me. dev-python/setuptools-0.6.21 fails to emerge on my hardened Gentoo x64 box in just another way. The fetch fails for all alternative sources because of file size mismatch. emerge snippet: >>> Downloading 'http://b.pypi.python.org/packages/source/d/distribute/distribute-0.6.21.tar.gz' --2011-10-25 03:43:41-- http://b.pypi.python.org/packages/source/d/distribute/distribute-0.6.21.tar.gz Resolving b.pypi.python.org (b.pypi.python.org)... 209.85.143.121, 2a00:1450:400b:c00::79 Connecting to b.pypi.python.org (b.pypi.python.org)|209.85.143.121|:80... connected. File renamed to '/usr/portage/distfiles/distribute-0.6.21.tar.gz._checksum_failure_.f0d9uA' Just waiting and syncing later did not fixed it. The problem persists at least since Mon Sep 19, 2011: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-898334.html SyntaxError: invalid syntax usually means your system python doesn't support the current package you're dealing with. The merge downloaded mid emerge, which is not a preferred gentoo method. I makes no allowances for whether the newly downloaded package to be supported by the current system python that is set at the time. Python team I fixed such an issue in xen-pvgrub. Do you want me to repeat the fix in this? Version has been removed from the tree. Please test again with a current version. |
