Had any other filesystem problems lately? File loss, corruption, etc. Which filesystem is this? i'm using ext3 now, i _did_ do a resizing recently w/ partition magic, afterwhich there were some nasty filesystem errors. but, i thought that i fixed it all... any way that i can be sure of this? yeah, never resize with partition magic, that program is pure evil. seriously, it's the spawn of the seventh child of the devil himself there are linux filesystem resizing tools (e2fsresize or some such comes to mind). at any rate, if i were you i'd reboot onto a livecd or single mode and run a full fsck on your root |
