Description frederic.bayen62 2011-10-03 12:41:14 UTC
When the option "Focus On Password = yes" is set in the config file "/etc/slim/conf", SLIM can't start a XFCE Session.

I had to comment this option to start my XFCE session; but XFCE worked fine when I started a session whith "startx", it was really a session started by Slim that makes problems.

The package of Slim that have this problem is the "x11-misc/slim-1.3.2-r3".

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
I had to comment the option "Focus on password = yes" to fix the bug.

interesting; this actually works for me fine, but the focus password option should not be enabled by default anyways... could you attach your /var/log/slim.log for me pls?

Confirmed, I cannot reproduce this.

This has probably been fixed on slim-1.3.2-r6 within the fix for bug 252280. Please upgrade to the ~arch x11-misc/slim and re-test.
