Description Nirbheek Chauhan (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-10-01 16:58:21 UTC
A new library dev-libs/libpeas has come up, which is a GObject plugins framework/library. A lot of GNOME packages use it now instead of duplicating plugin code everywhere.

Please test and keyword:

app-text/gtranslator-2.90.5 ~ppc ~sparc
dev-libs/libpeas ~ppc ~sparc

libpeas has a comprehensive testsuite that (due to X or gtk+ bugs) fails under Xvfb, so please run `make check` by hand to test it.

Thanks!

sparc keywords dropped

This version is not in portage anymore. Can we close the bug?

No. PPC should keyword a newer version.

I tried but I'm hitting a blocker:

[blocks B ] <dev-libs/gobject-introspection-1.32.0 ("<dev-libs/gobject-introspection-1.32.0" is blocking dev-libs/gobject-introspection-common-1.32.1)

!!! Multiple package instances within a single package slot have been pulled
!!! into the dependency graph, resulting in a slot conflict:

So I'm not sure what versions you want me to target.

Please stabilize =app-text/gtranslator-2.90.8

(for gtranslator-2.91.4 you would first need to stabilize glib-2.32.x + lots of other stuff, see bug #427544)
Comment 6 Alexandre Rostovtsev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-08-12 21:24:27 UTC
Sorry, ignore comment #5; I completely fail at reading.

Please rekeyword =app-text/gtranslator-2.90.8 and =app-text/gtranslator-2.91.4

To install gtranslator-2.91.4, you need >=dev-libs/glib-2.32, >=dev-libs/gobject-introspection-2.32, >=dev-libs/gobject-introspection-common-2.32, >=dev-libs/libpeas-1.2, >=x11-libs/gtk+-3.4, and app-text/gtkspell:3; those are currently keyworded ~ppc, so if you are on a stable ppc system, you would need to temporarily add them to your package.keywords

Should be >=dev-libs/gobject-introspection-1.32, >=dev-libs/gobject-introspection-common-1.32
Comment 8 Anthony Basile gentoo-dev 2012-08-13 18:50:14 UTC
Okay I followed through the dependency chain for ppc and had to keyword the following:

=gnome-base/gnome-js-common-0.1.2
=dev-libs/seed-3.2.0-r1
=dev-libs/gjs-1.32.0
=dev-libs/libpeas-1.4.0-r1
=app-text/gtranslator-2.90.8
=app-text/gtranslator-2.91.4

repoman was very clear about what depended on what :)

Reopen if you wanted different/other versions keyworded.
