Bug 384837 – sys-libs/glibc fail with missing localedata/stubs fatal error on hardened and <sys-apps/sandbox-2.5

While compiling glibc-2.12.2 and 2.13-r4, which I've keyworded via /etc/portage/package.keywords for this test, I receive a fatal error regarding the inability to find localedata/stubs during src_compile.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -u glibc
Actual Results:  
Fails to install

Expected Results:  
I expected glibc to successfully compile and install and maybe provide me with winning lottery numbers.

hmm, you've got one sandbox error in there:

    res_path: (null)
/proc/11750/cmdline: gzip -9n /var/tmp/portage/sys-libs/glibc-2.13-r4/image//usr/share/i18n/charmaps/IBM1162 

try upgrading to sandbox-2.5.  if that doesn't help, is your gzip binary static ?  if so, can you rebuild it dynamically ?

That worked, however it's hosed the rest of my system. I'm now facing bug #332927.

sandbox-2.5 is stable now, so prob don't care if this only breaks with older versions ...
