I have a sneaky suspicion the patch added to fix this bug is causing all paletted images to render as pure black, as the patch adds two local variables that are used uninitialised. Wargus is mostly black for me.

However, I'm not going to drive for a fix, I'm going to wait for the new stratagus & wargus versions, that are already released. Bug #396203
