The Icon Tasks Plasmoid is a replacement for the tasks plasmoid. Its not just another fork of stasks but a different thing. The included ebuild is pretty simple and works well. I have used the plasmoid for two days and didn't find any bugs.

I request inclusion in the kde overlay.

A lot of fixes and changes, see changelog at http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Icon+Tasks?content=144808. 
Should work with stable 4.6.5 (tested) and 4.7 (need time for testing, or could someone else do it the next days?).

KDE 4.8 will be probably removed from the tree.
KDE 4.9 already provides the "Plasma IconTasks" applet.

If 4.8 isn't removed, this ebuild needs a blocker on 4.9
If 4.8 is removed, this bug can be closed.

KDE 4.8.x is now gone.
KDE 4.9 and later includes IconTasks.
