Some more info ? What is LC_ALL and LANG, etc set to ? Hi! I can confirm this. LANG LC_ALL ? Should these be in the env? tod I can confirm this too. It is caused by a faulty Makefile.am in the spanish branch of the locale tree. The Makefile.am installs the spanish pages into the C branch. So users without locale or users that specifically set the locale to C are getting a spanish version. The attached patch and ebuild can be used to repair this defect. I tried several times to add an attachment but it failed. See http://www.fmf.nl/~arends/gentoo/gnome-base/gnome-core for the files. Is this behavior still seen with the latest versions of packages and after seemant's NLS and FHS work? It's still there. See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69814 For another incarnation of the same solution. Looking at the date of that bugreport it should go away with an update of the gnome-core-1.4.xx.tar.gz newer than 1.4.0.6. But there's no update yet. Fixed in -r5. |
