Problem here is that /usr/NX/scripts/setup/nxserver script relies on /usr/portage existence, while having /usr/portage is completely unreliable: if [ -d /usr/portage ]; then system=gentoo fi I guess it's better to rely on /etc/gentoo-release. @base-system: is this ok to rely on /etc/gentoo-release for gentoo system detection? (In reply to comment #1) > @base-system: is this ok to rely on /etc/gentoo-release for gentoo system > detection? CC'ing base-system so they get a change to anwser ;) (In reply to comment #2) > (In reply to comment #1) > > @base-system: is this ok to rely on /etc/gentoo-release for gentoo system > > detection? > > CC'ing base-system so they get a change to anwser ;) Use /etc/os-release and the ID tag (In reply to comment #3) > (In reply to comment #2) > > (In reply to comment #1) > > > @base-system: is this ok to rely on /etc/gentoo-release for gentoo system > > > detection? > > > > CC'ing base-system so they get a change to anwser ;) > > Use /etc/os-release and the ID tag ...and fallback to gentoo-release Thanks Samuli! This is now in a new nxserver patch, applied in nxserver-freeedition-3.5.0.11-r1 |
