tovid no longer works because the following will generate a SIGFPE (per https://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/ticket/324):

ffmpeg -f s16le -i /dev/zero -t 0.968 -ab 224k -ar 48000 -ac 2 -acodec ac3 -y dummy.ac3
