Description Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2011-08-19 17:32:54 UTC
The "link" attribute in the <guide> tag is most likely obsoleted. Documents without the attribute work fine and there is no obvious use of it within the XSL files.

This tracker is to warn people that (unless someone pulls my ears) the @link attribute will be removed from all English documents (guides, that is) no earlier than Friday 26th of august. References in the documentation (such as xml-guide) will also be changed then.

Reproducible: Always

There is no reference to the link attribute in neysx's trads.rb script that I and some (I guess) of the translation teams use.

At least the French team doesn't use it.

The "link" attribute in /doc/en/* has been removed from the documents.
Comment 3 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-10-07 08:20:05 UTC
Okay, I will be removing the link attribute from the guide DTD soon so newly committed documents cannot use it anymore.

It has been done
