Using unison-2.27.57-r1, I get the following error on my hardened gentoo on linux x86.

ssh: stack smashing attack in function client_loop - terminated

Steps to Reproduce:
1. unison <some-profile>
Actual Results:  
update fails at the end with the error:

  Waiting for changes from server
Reconciling changes
Nothing to do: replicas have not changed since last sync.
Connection to meije.kozmic.org closed.

It also happens on latest unstable version 2.32.52

Thanks for reporting.  I expect it to be fix in 2.48.4, but feel free to reopen this bug if otherwise.
