I'll take a look at writing an ebuild for this. Having used it before, its quite nice albeit rather heavy. There are a few others like lfs and the plugin to mezzanine.

In the case that the original reporter would like to take an initial stab at an ebuild, I would be happy to help as well.

I wouldn't invest time in it if you don't want to actually use it.
