The bug report title is "openoffice cannot find libwpd" and the initial report mentions libwpd-0.8.pc. Searching your logs for 'libwpd', I'm really confused. So, I presume the actual error is about missing libwpg. The latest comment in the ChangeLog is

which tells me (and you) two things:
1) you should use libreoffice instead
2) this bug is probably related to that change
So either use app-office/libreoffice, or make sure >=libwpg-0.1.3 is installed.
