Valgrind trace
I've also got a valgrind trace, if that helps in any way.
Looks complicated. What are your versions of * mlt * X11 * qt ?! Which X driver do you use? Which 3D acceleration (if any)? Agh, I've figured it out. When you asked for 3d accel info I suddenly realized that one of the differences between running as user and as root is in the widget style: I'm using an unofficial theme that adds transparency to the default Oxygen style and if I disable that it works fine. So it's an interoperability problem between kdenlive and unsupported software. I presume that makes this bug INVALID then? Terribly sorry if I've wasted your time. Next time I'll try to repro any bugs on stock software only before reporting. (In reply to comment #3) > Agh, I've figured it out. I guess yes ( but it would be nice to know more about the theme in case the problem comes up again... maybe we'd also add it to portage and then it becomes "supported" :o) ) > Terribly sorry if I've wasted your time. No problem... > I guess yes ( but it would be nice to know more about the theme in case the problem comes up again... maybe we'd also add it to portage and then it becomes "supported" :o) ) Well, it's basically the live (as in -9999) version of Oxygen + patches to add transparency. The author has tried to have it included in KDE, but was denied because the project wasn't coded cleanly enough, I believe. Either way, if you're interested - http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/?content=127752 Builds cleanly (my ebuild for it is just 5 lines or so), works as advertised, but (as it turns out) can be buggy. Also no stable release has been made yet. |
