Just to be clear, this works on Gentoo and people on the Gentoo forums are doing it. I added the forum thread url to this bug. This has already been requested, and the current chromium maintainers don't want to do it. You are welcome to use the package I maintain in my overlay, which basically does exactly what your instructions say. https://bitbucket.org/floppym/floppym-overlay/src/default/www-plugins/chromium-pdf/ layman -a floppym emerge www-plugins/chromium-pdf *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 341937 *** (In reply to comment #2) > This has already been requested, and the current chromium maintainers don't > want to do it. > > You are welcome to use the package I maintain in my overlay, which basically > does exactly what your instructions say. > > https://bitbucket.org/floppym/floppym-overlay/src/default/www-plugins/chromium-pdf/ > > layman -a floppym > emerge www-plugins/chromium-pdf > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 341937 *** Maybe there is a way that we can ask Google to release the source code. That would make this a much nicer situation. Anyway, thanks for the information about your overlay. |
