![]() I agree. Perhaps with 4.3.0-r4 this will be removed. I believe they are installed in xfree 4.3.0-r3 because the various *fonts ebuilds weren't available in portage. Now that corefonts, freefonts, et al. have been added, this can and should be removed. yes, the fonts were originally added to the xfree ebuild because the sep font packages did not exist i personally added the corefonts one for unrelated reasons Who did actually use the USE flag truetype for Microsoft's fonts? After all, isn't truetype meant for FreeType support? P.S.: Yes, I also think they should be removed from xfree, not only because of the license, they also have a horrible rendering when sub-pixel is turned on. Fixed in 4.3.0-r6. |
