Gnome-3.1.x packages (including glib-2.29.x and gtk+-3.1.x) are maintained in the gnome-next branch of the gnome overlay. They are under heavy development upstream, their feature set and dependencies appear to change every week, and they are certainly not intended for general use. I do not foresee them making it to the main portage tree before versions 3.1.91 or .92 get released in early September. This is overlay matter and just like gnome pre 3.0 development cycle, gnome 3.1 developement cycle is full of hoops and won't ever make it to the tree. Gnome 3.1 will be merged to master branch of gnome overlay when gnome 3 has been moved out to gentoo-x86. *** Bug 377485 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
