Description anonymous 2011-08-01 09:13:50 UTC
In Gentoo, the location of the MySQL server socket socket by default in / var / run / mysqld / mysqld.sock, and I think it's a simple fix might be a little helpful.

Reproducible: Always

Probably a valid bug - but easily fixed by users - I see that our sample config files do have /tmp rather than /var/run - might also be easier to just connect to 127.0.0.1 via net.

Marking bug as confirmed for now.

Will fix in upcoming zabbix 2.0 releases.

Fixed in CVS -- updated all references to mysql socket in our gentoo zabbix config files.
