patches to procps

Description Dieter Ries 2011-07-15 11:38:44 UTC
procps is not actively maintained anymore, see the CVS history at sourceforge. Still there are issues with procps, like faulty unicode support, no color output in watch etc.
Debian uses ~75 patches to keep procps more state-of-the-art like.
The attached ebuild uses most of those (omitting kfreebsd stuff and one patch that does not seem to add any features and does not work).
It compiles well and everything is working from as far as I can tell.
It not only contains functional changes, but also up to date man pages etc.

I suppose it would also fix bug #291613, but I cannot test it.

Reproducible: Always

procps-3.2.8_p10 uses the debian patchset now
Comment 6 Dieter Ries 2011-07-22 07:28:35 UTC
thanks and sorry for the messy ebuild, didn't know that epatch can use a series file.
